FAQs
Waiting Lists for Tickets
We are currently operating a waiting list for both the Glitter and Snow Ball. Currently we are at maximum capacity for both events and tickets will only become available on the basis of any cancellations and will be offered in the order that names have been registered to the waiting list.
You will be contacted via email and offered a ticket dependent on the waiting list should a ticket become available.
We do ask that anyone who no longer requires a ticket contact us via the website where we can organise a refund and offer the ticket to the next person on the waiting list.
Please note that requests for refunds in less than 24 hours of the event cannot be guaranteed a refund unless we can re-sell the ticket.
Non attendees on the night are not entitled to a refund.
We ask that you do not offer your ticket to anyone outside of these arrangements given that we require all parents of children attending the events to provide the required emergency contact details, permissions, and allergy information.
Any child that arrives whose name is not on our records will not be able to stay and we will ask that they are collected immediately.
We appreciate that these event tickets have sold out in an unprecedented manner this year and given the demand there is a number of disappointed children however, we would hate to have to further that disappointment by turning a child away on the night should they not be on our list. Please may we politely request that you do not put us in a difficult position.
Should you wish to add your child to the waiting list please use the appropriate form on the website. Please also be aware that our waiting lists are long and that this by no means guarantees anyone a ticket.
Location
The Glitter Ball is being held at Shelford Rugby Club, The Davey Field, Cambridge Road, Great Shelford, CB22 5JJ- 6.30pm until 8.30pm.
The Snow Ball is being held at Shelford Rugby Club, The Davey Field, Cambridge Road, Great Shelford, CB22 5JJ - 7pm until 9pm.
Volunteers
All supervisory adults are committee members and/or parents of children present. All adults have given their time voluntarily and we thank them for this.
We would expect your children to treat them with the same level of respect as they would do with their teachers in a school setting.
These volunteers are here to ensure that your children have an amazing time whilst also taking the responsibility of their safety and security. Please remind your children to ensure that they listen to the directions given by these adults.
Behaviour
Children are expected to behave as they would do at school, any unacceptable behaviour will result in the child/children involved being removed from the entertainment and parents contacted to collect them.
Do I need to bring my physical ticket?
No, there is no need to bring your ticket, every child attending will be registered against the tickets sold.
What do I wear?
There is no dress code – please come as you wish. Party wear, casual clothes, anything goes, whatever you feel comfortable in!
First Aid
A qualified first aider will be on site.
Food
There will be snack food available, i.e, pop corn, crips, sweets however, we do ask that your children are fed a proper meal before they arrive.
Whilst we have requested allergy information via ticket sales please remind your children before they arrive to be aware of their own allergies.
Drinks & Water Bottles
In an effort to be more eco conscious, please may we ask that all children attending the Snow Ball and Glitter Ball bring with them an empty, named water bottle.
There will be water and squash available.
For safety and security reasons we do ask that this water bottle is empty on arrival, any water bottle that is filled on arrival will be emptied and re filled.
Drop Off and Pick Up and Parking
Please, where possible lift share if you can.
We ask for your patience at both drop off and pick up, logistically trying to register and ensure the safe departure of over 200 children takes time and safety is our primary concern.
For collection parents are required to come and collect directly from the venue. We appreciate that this may take a little longer but the priority is the safety of your children and no child will be allowed to leave the premises until an adult on site has taken the responsibility of collection.
At the Snow Ball we are happy that children are dropped off directly outside the venue and can make their own way inside.
Whilst there is plentiful parking at Shelford Rugby Club, please be considerate and avoid parking where you may cause a blockage.
We will have parking monitors to ensure that the one way system in operation at Shelford Rugby Club is followed.
Emergency Contact on the Night
We will provide an emergency contact mobile number on the night of each event which will be highligted here for any parent that has an urgent issue that we would need to be made aware of.
