Ticket Information
Tickets are for pupils in Years 5 & 6 (Glitter Ball) and Years 7 & 8 (Snow Ball) attending independent schools in Cambridge. One ticket admits one child. Parents/carers are not admitted unless volunteering.
Tickets are non-refundable. If your child can no longer attend, please contact us via the website as soon as possible. We will try to re-sell the ticket, using our waiting list. If we are successful, you will receive a refund of the ticket price minus any processing fees. If we are unable to re-sell the ticket, no refund will be given. Children who do not attend on the night are not entitled to a refund.
Please do not pass your ticket to anyone else. We require all parents of children attending to provide emergency contact details, permissions and allergy information. Any child whose name is not on our records will not be able to stay and we will ask for them to be collected immediately.
About the Organisers
The Glitter Ball and Snow Ball are organised by a committee of volunteers for children across Cambridge. They are not school events, and the schools are not responsible for their organisation or supervision.
Cancellation or Changes
We may change the date, time or venue, or cancel an event, due to safety concerns, illness, severe weather or other circumstances beyond our control. If we cancel and cannot reschedule, tickets will be refunded in full.
Location
Both events are held at Storey's Field Centre, Eddington Avenue, Eddington, Cambridge, CB3 1AA.
Glitter Ball: Thursday 26 November 2026 - 6.30pm until 8.30pm
Snow Ball: Friday 27 November 2026 - 7pm until 9pm
Volunteers
All supervisory adults are committee members and/or parents of children present. All have given their time voluntarily and we thank them.
We expect your children to treat them with the same respect as they would their teachers in a school setting. These volunteers are here to make sure your children have an amazing time while taking responsibility for their safety and security. Please remind your children to listen to the directions given by these adults.
Behaviour
Children are expected to behave as they would at school and to follow the directions of volunteers. Any unacceptable behaviour will result in the child or children involved being removed from the entertainment and parents contacted to collect them. No refund will be given in this case.
Mobile Phone Policy
For safeguarding reasons, we operate a no mobile phone policy. If your child has to bring a phone, we ask that they leave it in a bag or coat or, if needed, with an adult volunteer, and collect it at the end of the evening. If a phone is visible during the event, we will ask the child to put it away or we will look after it until the end of the evening.
Do I need to bring my physical ticket?
No. Every child attending will be registered against the tickets sold.
What do I wear?
There is no dress code. Please come as you wish: party wear, casual clothes, anything goes, whatever you feel comfortable in!
First Aid
A qualified first aider will be on site to administer first aid if required.
Medical Needs, Allergies and Medication
We have requested allergy information at the point of ticket sales. Please also tell us about any medical conditions or medication your child needs during the event. Please remind your child of their own allergies before they arrive.
Food
Snacks (popcorn, crisps, sweets) will be available, but we ask that your children have a proper meal before they arrive. Snacks may contain allergens, so please ask a volunteer if you are unsure.
Drinks
Water and squash will be available. For safety and security reasons, no drinks are allowed in the main dance area.
Drop Off, Pick Up and Parking
Please lift share where you can. We ask for your patience at both drop off and pick up. Registering and ensuring the safe departure of over 200 children takes time, and safety is our primary concern.
Drop off (both events): Children may be dropped off directly outside the venue and can make their own way inside. We will have volunteers at the entrance to escort them in.
Pick up (both events): Parents/carers must arrive at the main entrance to collect their child. Children are not allowed to leave unaccompanied and must be signed out. No child will be released until an adult on site has confirmed who is collecting them. We appreciate this may take a little longer, but the safety of your children is our priority.
Storey's Field is in a residential area. Please be considerate to local residents and avoid parking where you may cause a blockage. Parking monitors will be on site to make sure people park only in appropriate places and do not pull up on the side of the road. Further parking details will be emailed nearer to the event.
Photography
Photographs may be taken during the events for use on [the committee's website, social media or newsletters]. If you do not want your child to appear in photographs, please tell us in writing by [date or "before the event"].
Data Protection
The information you provide when buying tickets is held by the organising committee and used only to run these events, including contacting you about your booking and keeping children safe on the night. It is handled in line with [committee privacy notice]. It will be deleted within [timeframe] after the event and is not shared with schools or third parties, except [ticketing platform, if applicable].
Belongings and Liability
The organisers cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged items. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Emergency Contact on the Night
We will provide an emergency contact mobile number on the night of each event, which will be highlighted here, for any parent with an urgent issue.
